What is the difference between a wet and dry paint booth?
A dry booth typically consists of paint arresting filters to trap the over spray paint or excess paint fumes.
A wet type paint booth consists of a water curtain or water to trap the excess paint over spray which mixes and forms a sludge which is then treated and disposed off and the water can be reused once treated.
When will you use a wet booth over a dry paint booth?
Wet paint booth are used when there is high paint consumption and the paint arresting filters are not enough to trap the excess paint and filters will have to replaced frequently which can increase running costs. This is when a wet paint booth is used.
